These are probably the best sunglasses ever, and they were probably made for this particular face. If you see them on another face, well They're Stolen! Along with a white messenger bag full of other important stuff which is probably useless to the idiot thief.  

Who says geometry isn't relevant to the real world? This art in public spaces project was probably set up by DCPW at Wisconsin and Fessenden. 

They could have just rented a sedan and been able to talk to each other, but that wouldn't look as cool sitting in traffic.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day. My dad loves trees, though he left DC, the city of trees, to go live in the desert, where he has to plant his own. But here's a slideshow of some trees in DC.

Happy 50th Anniversary

Fifty years ago, my parents were married in this church on 16th street. Today I'm out in California celebrating their anniversary.

Though Dupont Circle has plenty of benches, these kids found better seating higher up. 

You don't have to be young, hip, or even smooth to play basketball in DC. But it would help. 

Since April 1998, John Wojnowski has been protesting in front of the Vatican Embassy. For years people thought he was a nut, but after the more recent scandals, the Washington Post did an article on him. Turns out he's a retiree living in the suburbs. He says he was molested at the age of 15 in Italy. 

Many people find that walking along the C and O Canal, staring into the water, is romantic. 

You never know who's staring down at you from the Dupont Circle fountain. 

Two ducks kissing? I don't know, but you can find this at the Takoma Metro Station. I think it used to be the Takoma Park Metro Station, but with all the new names being added to other stations, they had to cut back somewhere. (Woodley Park/Adams Morgan/Zoo? Really?) 

This is on Euclid street, so all the parallel lines stay apart. It's kind of patriotic, for DC.
